... in Arenberg Castle the senior students made the night audible, visible - and edible! The proceeds from the buffet raised 600€ for the Nepal project. Wonderful! |

Muse AU CHOCOLAT
There are dark and light chocolates, there is the kiss of the muse, there are unfilled chocolates and there are filled ones, that have a surprising taste when you reach the filling. |

is continuing with new partners. The students now in Class 5u have kept in touch with the children in Jharkot since 2009. Now the baton has been passed to Class 3i.

Consultation day and other selling opportunities
On the parents' consultation day, as well as every other opportunity, selling geniuses are at work: homemade key fobs (felted - 2i, 4e, 4u, 5e), knitted slippers, cornel cherry jam ... 450 Euros - many thanks to all!

Max recommends the witching hour...
Since the "Kiss from the muse" campaign in collaboration with "Zotter" chocolatiers was such a success last year, it was repeated in 2013. This time there were even two different flavours. |

Literature at the press of a button: Class 2e performed as a living jukebox. The creative campaign was great fun and brought in about 200 Euros for the partner school!

Surprise from Vorarlberg
Children, parents and teaching staff from Volksschule Doren in Vorarlberg, accomplished all kinds of things with the improv theatre group Paroli - and made an unbelievably generous contribution. |

How did this happen? During the preparations for the auction (see below) the artist Edgar Höscheler put Karin Inmann in contact with Doris Rüdisser, a teacher in Doren. Dance class 5aei donate 100 Euros from the takings of their London trip buffet.

Christmas
Numerous students from Years 3 - 7 produce items of beauty and use in technology and textile classes to sell at the Advent Market in Alter Markt and run the stand themselves. Some of the profit goes to the Peru project, 1110 Euros goes to Jharkot. Class 3i is able to raise another 270€ by selling Christmas cookies at parent's consultation day!

Parzival's search
comes to an end: the grail is where people are. At the performances of "mittendurch", the superb finale of a joint project between Sparkling Science, Salzburg University and the Musisches Gymnasium it is proved: Collections during the interval raise 695€. Thanks to the team and the audience. |

Wild garlic and muffins
Katharina Weilhartner and Katharina Strasser from 2i put their idea into action: with wild garlic they gathered themselves, homemade muffins and information on the project they canvas the neighbourhood. |

Salad buffets and foster children Classes 5a and 3a
5a decides to adopt, so to speak, one of our Jharkot children: they will regularly raise the 50€ needed every month for a child. Two very tasty salad buffets organised and run by the class at lunchtime secure the first year's patronage! Assigned foster child: Tsering Pemba.

Debating with a tangible outcome:
During a "motivational speech" exercise in German class, Constantin Collini, sets out why our partner school project should be supported.
And his speech works: 3i and then 3e, make a donation of 55 Euros from their snack money - that's absolutely everything a child in Jharkot needs for a month. Thank you!

Text & textile
In the annual exhibition 09/10 "Change" classes 1 - 6 presented their textile work, making enchanting unique items from mass-produced goods from IKEA.
In the latest card edition these textile images and associated texts from students in 6a together become poetic delights.
For every 8€ set sold, 2€ goes to benefit the school in Nepal. |

Christmas bazaar at Parents' Consultation Day
The textile groups from several classes sew beautiful covers for pocket diaries (donated by Volksbank); 3i offers batiked silk scarves, cast candles, knotted key chains, ceramic bowls filled with biscuits and 3m produces Christmas cards. A joint sale is organised for parents' consultation day. The result: a good 850 Euros. |

2nd October
Book flea market
together with Karin Inmann students from years 4 to 8 and some of the teaching staff organise a book flea market in the arcade of the old university. It is a cool Saturday, lots of people visiting the market stop by here too. 497 Euros are raised for the project! |
18th - 20th June
The nightingale
For the performances of the lower school's production of Hanc Christian Andersen's play, 1e's graphics class presents their fairytale book. 400 copies are printed; the book is still available for 8 Euros.
So far the sum of 691€ has been raised (as of December 2010) |

Change: New clothes collection and Tetrapack
the annual exhibition with the theme "Change"
In lessons and at home hundreds of students fold little pieces of clothing using origami techniques. Symbolic of the fulfillment of the basic needs of our children in Jharkot, donors can pick a piece of clothing of their choice from the line: we raise 360€ for clothes (for example) for the children at the boarding school.

The process of change with an ecological aspect: in technology lessons 3a constructs wallets out of Tetrapacks. 50% of the sales revenue at the exhibition brings in another 50 Euros for Jharkot.

Classes 5a and 5i continue the
1 : 1 : 1 Campaign (one student: one month: one Euro) and bring in 190€ and 314€ respectively.

Benefit concert with Hubert von Goisern
At the republic in Salzburg The Fabulous A-musing Pops, our girls' choir and Men Only sing and play a strong programme together with Hubert. Aside from the considerable revenue from the ticket sales, the audience members also make very generous donations. |

Activities 2006/2007 |
When Ecohimal somewhat surprisingly brings an end to the financing of the project, Karin Inmann turns to her former students for help. Many classes take part in the campaign called
1 : 1 : 1 -
one student : one month : one Euro
Every month, each student gives one Euro to the class cashier, who passes on the donations to the project. The system is laborious, but nonetheless the classes succeed in raising a considerable proportion of the project's budget.

Volunteering:Elias Tschernutter, who graduated from our school in 2005, goes to Jharkot for two months in 2006 after his civil service. He teaches the children English and looks after them in their leisure time. |

In 2012 there were more individual money transfers from former students of the Musisches Gymnasium, from parents, teachers and friends of the project.; the contributions were sums of between 15 and 1000 Euros!
Those with standing orders also remained faithful to us. Thank you!
Classes 8a, 8i and 8m donated the remainder of their class coffers, totalling 380€.

2011
|
Individual donations from former pupils of the Musisches Gymnasium, parents, teachers and friends of the project ranged from 20 to 500 Euros, making an enormous contribution to the maintenance of the partner school.
Standing orders and "gift donations" helped a great deal this year too.
Gospelspirit is a choir in Freilassing. Janika and Viola Linke, Ida and Sophie Schönamsgruber, Carolina Bernauer and Sarah Back from the Musisches Gymnasium are members of this choir. Under the direction of Anja Hager, the choir donated the profits of their pre-Christmas concert in Bad Reichenhall: 1200 Euros!
Roundtable Austria 30 Salzburg supported the project with 500€, a sum doubled by their honorary member Martin Seibt.

2010
|
A number of individual from the school set up monthly standing orders for between 10 and 50 Euros.
Other helpful people request gifts for birthdays and Christmas in the form of donations for Jharkot - raising 730€.
At the 50th (?) class reunion of Karin Inmann's own school year, 465€ was raised for the project.
A range of people from around the school made individual donations of between 7€ and 200€.

2009
|
The Rotary Club Salzburg St. Rupert takes on the wages for a teacher and the cook for one year.
A number of individuals from the school environment make contributions between 5 and 200 Euros.
Sponsors raise the entire cost for hiring the hall at the republic, so that the entire revenue raised from the concert with Hubert von Goisern can flow into the project - see the concert report >> |
